Happy Earth Day!

Hi Everyone!

Once a year, we celebrate the Earth. I don't know about you, but I love the Earth! I love the beautiful landscapes, the oceans, the sunsets, the fresh air, the rainbows, the waterfalls, the meadows, the gorgeous animals, the delicious fruits and vegetables, the colors, the textures, the fragrances, you name it! I am glad to be here on this Earth!

For some Earth Day may seem like just another holiday, but the truth of it is that most of us take the Earth for granted. Which is a real shame! The Earth gives us so much! It gives us life, health, energy, food, oxygen, protection, and peace of mind. It energizes us, grounds us, and even inspires us.

Here are some suggestions of what you can do on Earth Day (or going forward):

  • Go for hike in nature.

  • Sit in nature and meditate.

  • Sit in nature and visualize your pain or your emotions escaping through your feet down to the center of the Earth.

  • Garden.

  • Compost.

  • Recycle.

  • Walk through your neighborhood picking up garbage. Carry a garbage bag for trash and have a friend carry one for recycling bottles and cans.

  • Spend time in nature observing the animals.

  • Carpool.

  • Commit to using less plastic.

  • Commit to using reusable containers.

  • Commit to using less paper products.

  • Commit to eating organic.

  • Be mindful.

  • Be grateful.

Sadly, many think that the Earth doesn't need healing or that the Earth doesn't need to be cared for. Many people take the earth for granted: polluting our water, polluting our air, filling our land with trash, chemicals, and discarded plastics.

Many believe that only humans need healing or TLC, but the truth of the matter is that the Earth needs healing too. Tonight I am sending healing to the Earth: to the beautiful land and to all of the land that has been damaged by fires, earthquakes, flooding, and other natural disasters, as well as, the land that has been damaged by people. I will also send healing to our glorious waterways: our oceans, our rivers, and our waterfalls.

For those of you who are healers, I encourage you to send healing to the Earth today. It really does make a difference.

I am so grateful to be on this planet. It is not something we should take for granted, but should celebrate.

What are you grateful for?
