Smoothie Recipes To Fight The Winter Blues

Hi Friends!

This month has been all about joy for me! I created my Joy Challenge on Instagram. I have been experimenting with trying new dessert recipes! YUM! I have been leisurely reading fun books and having fun times with my friends! YAY!

But the biggest challenge for this California girl has been re-acclimating to the cold. Brrrrrr! It’s cold outside!

Part of me wants to go out and have fun and spread the holiday spirit and part of me wants to stay inside and hibernate.

Why is it so cold outside?!

In order to help me to remember the warm days of summer, I have started adding a delicious orange tropical fruit to my daily diet. Can you guess which one? It’s the mango! Unless you live in the tropics, you might not think of adding your daily dose of mango to combat your winter blues, but luckily with the convenience of our freezers, we can!

Pick up a package of frozen mangos from the grocery store and try these delicious easy mango smoothie recipes.

This nurturing fruit will take you on a mini-vacation to the land of abundant sunshine, sea breezes, and warm weather!

You deserve it!

Plus it is jam-packed with nutrition! 

Mango Banana Spinach Smoothie

(My staple green smoothie)

One banana

1 cup frozen mangos

Handful of fresh spinach

10 ounces of unsweetened almond milk

Blend.

Mango Banana Pea Smoothie

(a variation of the Mango Banana Spinach Smoothie with peas replacing spinach)

 
 

1/2 cup frozen peas
1 cup frozen mangos
A banana
10 ounces unsweetened almond milk
Blend.

This recipe is surprisingly fresh and so good. When is the last time you drank your peas!

Mango Banana Pumpkin Smoothie

1 cup frozen mangos

1/2 ripe banana

1/4 cup of canned pumpkin

10 ounces of unsweetened almond milk

Blend until smooth.

Mango Pumpkin Apple Smoothie

1 cup frozen mangos

1/4 cup canned pumpkin

1 cup of apple cider

Blend.

Delicious!
